Alva: List of attacks and how to combat them

Alva is by far the hardest boss you will find after Thor. If you play in the maximum difficulty, it can even kill you in a single combo. Fortunately, attacks are relatively easy to identify and counterattack. So just a little practice should be sufficient.

Blade dive (blue attack) : Alva always begins the fight with a special attack that uses the new mechanics of double blue circle . The developers gave a little help and rolls a time-lapse automatically when she uses it, giving enough time to press L1 twice to interrupt it.

Be aware that there is no need to be too close to make it work, even a few meters away, the shield will do your work. She will use this attack regularly during the fight. If you do not interrupt, you will suffer a lot, then be careful. The Spartan fury also interrupts the double blue circle.

Blade dance (normal attack) : The most dangerous attack of the boss, at least in terms of damage. She raises the blades and then attacks very quickly three times in a row. You can trim it, ideally , but perhaps because of the stress caused by the blue attack, combined with the fact that you need to chain the defenses very quickly, we tend to put a shield blow, which turns out to be absolutely mortal. It is easier to block all attacks .

Wave of light (red attack) : Alva will distance yourself regularly and then trigger a red attack. It is easy to see coming and avoid with a side dodge . The problem is that it tends to combine this with its blade release. In the final of the fight, the boss will start chain two waves of light , but fortunately each will have its marker.

Blade Launch (Yellow Attack) : The most misleading attack of the fight. It is only remotely triggered with a yellow circle. Alva throws the blade, which is very easy to dodge, but she makes her way back (just like the Rates ax) and can hit the back of the boss.

This attack is often used before or after the light wave. Unlike most projectiles in the game, the blade cannot be returned when trimming it.

Super Blade Dance (Red Attack) : When Alva's life is very low, it will unlock a new attack. The boss will land on the floor and make a red circle appear, before running over rates with many quick attacks, of which you absolutely have to dodge.

After the initial combo, she will immediately trigger a second red attack on the Saliva and trigger a second scam chain. The only thing to do is keep dodging until it calms down.

Life Regeneration (Blue Circle) : Immediately after Super Blade Dance, Alva will land on the floor and begin to regenerate life. Atreus will even scream about it for Rates. Run quickly over the boss and use the shield blow with double pressure L1. Normally, this should finish the fight, or at least leave with 1% life.

Try to save the Spartan fury to the end of the fight when the boss becomes more dangerous and health is low. Also, be sure to make you bind to shoot arrows to disturb Alva, especially when it is throwing the sword at a distance.
