When AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT, 3800XT and 3600XT will come out
AMD announced a trio of chips that will be released at the same price as their numbered counterparts, but will offer a slight increase in clock speed. AT models will act as slightly faster versions of the standard X version, but for the moment we do not know if they will completely replace the old version of the Ry zen 9 range. The 3900XT, 3800XT and 3600XT will replace respectively the 3900x, respectively, 3800x and 3600x.
The new chips will be offered on the 7th of July, and you can find the complete specifications, including the retail prices recommended, below:
The new chips provide a small increase in the amplification and the basic clock at each price level, but it is nothing too dramatic, usually between 100 and 200 MHz. According to AMD, the real place where the new chips shine is for people who like overclock, because you should be able to increase the things of about 5 to 10% of the results you get with the standard X variants.
The number of cores and threads, the TDP and the cache size will remain the same as the previously available versions. Frankly, there is no big difference here, and little reason to opt for new versions if you can find a very good price on the previous chips. It is also very likely that the price of original chips drops a little, if only with the aim of emptying old stocks in various retailers.
We suspect that websites and YouTubers who cover the technology will already have a hand on flea and that we will see a series of videos of comparison between the new chips and the old on the Internet to coincide with the release of July 7th.
