Fortnite: Developer by Among US respond to high stackers

For Fortnite, a new game mode was recently announced, which was baptized on the name Impostors or Hochsteller. Its gameplay and card are similar to the starting way from Among US.

You already know you are to tenth on a map with several rooms on the way. Eight of you must, as agent tasks fulfill while the two highly stackers try to make a player out of the other. If one of these killed agents are found and reported, it is discussed about who could be the possible malefactors. At the end of the discussion then follows a vote that can lead to the outward of a teammate.

Shortly after the announcement, the Indie-Studio Innersloth was visibly disappointed about how much one was inspired by Epic Games of Among US.

It's really to work really cool, tweeted Victoria Tran, Community Director of InnerSloth. Game mechanics nice and good, they should not be closed, but at least different topics or terminologies make things more interesting.

Meanwhile, programmer Gary Porter commented on some similarities between the map of Fortnite and the by Among US as follows:

It's okay, you have exchanged electrics and the infirmary and connected the security department with the cafeteria.

Of course, the game principle of Among US is not a completely new and revolutionary game idea. Some of you may have heard something of Werwolf or it's played.

But how do you think about it? Epic Games has gone too far and has committed a thresty ideas of ideas or is a process that is common in the gaming industry, in which successful and good ideas are taken over and developed?
